About Safety Tag
Safety Tag provides a dynamic mobile platform to non medically trained volunteer coaches who
face numerous daily challenges. Using their smartphone, coaches are equipped with player
specific medical information and emergency action plans provided directly by parents.
Safety Tag modernizes the display and use of information that parents are already sharing with the leagues to enhance communication between parents and coaches.
Coaches have real time access to player safety information, which provides the highest level of support and risk mitigation, and ensures a rapid response in case of emergency.
How Safety Tag Works
The core of Safety Tag is an updatable communication platform between coaches, parents, and league administrators for
real-time incident reporting and emergency response plans. Player information is stored in Safety Tag’s highly secured
network and is only accessible by the coaches and administrators directly responsible for the player.
Player Safety File
Parents sign up for Safety Tag and create a Player Safety File for each of their children. Parents voluntarily input emergency contacts and an Emergency Action Plan which is important in the event of an incident. A parent can also find details of his/her child’s team and view the coaches profile.
Coaches create a Safety Tag account linked within their league. Using a smartphone or tablet Coaches can access information and Emergency Action Plan from the parents. Coaches are also provided safety tools helpful in stabilizing common on-field or other health events.
League Administrators are given the ability to add or modify teams and coaches in the Safety Tag network. The Safety Tag platform streamlines processes and helps make parents and coaches communication more transparent.
Coaches can access real-time safety tools that are necessary for the stabilization of common on-field emergency events. He/she can also view an emergency action plan for a chronic illness episode or other health incident or injuries that may arise during practice or a game.
League Admins are given the ability to add or modify teams and coaches to the Safety Tag network. Integration with Safety Tag will streamline administrative processes, and help make parent coach communication more efficient.
